The Impact of Brexit on Students

On July 1st 2025, Sam Johnson, a student at UCL and member of the North Herts for Europe standing committee spoke at a North Herts for Europe event about how Brexit has impacted students. This talk was informed by his preparations to study abroad in Warsaw, Poland. He discussed the added hurdles of post-Brexit legal processes such as visas, as well as issues with the Turing Scheme compared to Erasmus+. He also talked about how European students looking to study in the UK have been harmed by Brexit and elements of the ideology that surrounds it.
